Bringing fun, laughter and learning to Shakespeare

Shakeshorts, a performance for children written and directed by Chris Dingli and performed by Sean Briffa, will be held on 30 July at 18:00 in the KSU Common Room, University of Malta Msida Campus.

Specifically aimed at kids (but with plenty of fun for parents too) Shakeshorts is a condensed rendition of Shakespeare that incorporates the bard’s unique linguistic skills, with his immense storytelling ability. This interactive show is packed full of laughs and engages the audience in a way that literally makes them part of the performance.

Originally commissioned for ZiguZajg Festival for Children, Shakeshorts presents a Midsummer Night’s Dream allows children to identify with themes and characters in the play whilst gaining confidence with the language. In doing so, Shakeshorts serves as an excellent introduction to Shakespeare.

Evenings on Campus was one of the very first festivals in Malta which started to give space to different forms of contemporary culture through its representations of visual and performing arts. Evenings on Campus has become a regular and appreciated addition to Malta’s summer cultural life. Now in its 25th edition, this year, Evenings on Campus will be held from Sunday 23 July to Friday 11 August.

€5 tickets available at and at the door.
